Sacred Heart School Building in 1923
“Let it be known to all who enter here, that Christ is the reason for this school, the unseen but ever present Teacher in our classes, the model of our faculty, the inspiration of our students.”

For over 120 years, Sacred Heart School has helped students achieve educational and spiritual success through a tradition of faith, family and academic excellence.

Sacred Heart School of New Britain, Connecticut, is a Pre-K to 8th grade Catholic School in the Archdiocese of Hartford. SHS instills traditional Catholic and family values in a safe, secure, and family oriented environment. Our students are further enriched through a wide variety of extra curricular activities, differential instruction, and before and after school childcare.

St. Nick’s Christmas Shoppe

“It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas”… at least those were the sentiments of Sacred Heart Students as they made their way into St. Nick’s Shoppe to tackle their Christmas gift list for mom, dad and family members. Welcomed by Christmas melodies, gifts galore and a very friendly and helpful elf (Mrs. Muller), students were given the opportunity to select special and meaningful gifts to place under the family Christmas tree. From the oldest to the youngest members of our school family, the children proved to be pretty savvy shoppers.

Veterans Day Commemoration

Never too young to learn about and pray for our Veterans. This is just how students and teachers of Sacred Heart School observed this special day, commemorating the brave and courageous men and women who so faithfully served to protect our freedom. Special thanks to Ms. Diane Kulinski and her 5th & 6th grade class for preparing a wonderful tribute to our veterans.

Harvest Hoopla

Halloween came a little early this year with everyone wearing their “mask”. But Covid 19 didn’t dampen the spirit of our Sacred Heart School family as can be seen by the photos from the Harvest Hoopla celebration which took place on October 29th. Lots of treats, games and a great time with classmates and friends. Special thanks to our Student Council Officers and Mrs. Muller for organizing the event and putting time and effort into making it such a success!
